Services
Every recovery is different, so every service is built around you — your problem, your goals, and the life you want to get back to. Not sure which fits? Get in touch and I will point you the right way, or start with what I treat.
Home Visits
Hands-on physiotherapy delivered to your own home, across Wells, Holt, Blakeney and the wider North Norfolk area. Everything I need travels with me, and your own stairs, chairs and bed can be assessed properly.
For you if: travel is hard, mobility is reduced, or you live rurally.
Clinic Physiotherapy
A dedicated, fully equipped clinic in Wells-next-the-Sea, for treatment that addresses the cause rather than the symptom. The best option for hands-on care paired with progressive strength rehabilitation.
For you if: you can travel and want the best-equipped care.
Complex Rehabilitation
Longer-term rehabilitation for major post-surgical recovery, multiple injuries, and persistent problems that have not responded to standard care. Reasoning and experience beyond the everyday.
For you if: you are recovering from a life-changing event or injury.
Online Consultations
Assessment and diagnosis by video, with a progressive plan delivered through a purpose-built app. Fast, accessible and lower cost. Useful for advice you need now, a second opinion, or keeping a programme moving.
For you if: you want expert input quickly, without the travel.
Sports Injury & Performance
Complete sports rehabilitation, from acute injury to a confident return to play, built on a sport-science foundation and weekly pitch-side experience. Return safely, and with the capacity to stay there.
For you if: you have had a sports injury, or want to get on top of a niggle before it becomes one.
Healthspan: Stronger for Longer
Muscle, bone and balance start declining from around forty, quietly and for decades, and how much you keep is largely down to what you ask of them. Assessment-led strength programmes to protect the years ahead — and, later, to keep you steady on your feet.
For you if: you are forty or over and would rather protect strength, bone and balance now than rebuild them later.
Your first appointment
What to expect
Three stages, in order, within the one appointment.
The History — Working out the story
Most diagnoses are made here rather than on the couch. What happened, when, what makes it better or worse, what you have already tried, and — the part most often skipped — what you actually need to get back to.
- Your account, uninterrupted, before any hands go on
- Previous scans and letters read properly if you bring them
- What matters to you established at the start, not assumed
The Examination — Testing the theory
A physical examination to confirm or rule out what the history suggested. Movement, strength, joints, nerves and whatever else the problem calls for — and often the area above and below it, since pain is not always where the cause is.
- Specific tests, chosen for your problem
- Findings explained as they happen, not summarised afterwards
- The reasoning shown, so you can follow it
Treatment & Plan — Starting the same day
Treatment begins in the first appointment. You leave knowing what is going on, what is being done about it, and what you are doing between now and next time.
- Hands-on treatment where it will help
- A written plan you take away
- An honest estimate of how long this is likely to take
No rushing
Appointments are long enough to do the above properly. You are not being moved along to keep a list running to time.
My full attention
One clinician, one patient, one room. No overlapping appointments and no leaving you on a machine while someone else is seen.
No scripts
No standard protocol handed out by diagnosis. What you get is built from what the assessment found and what you told me you need.
Pricing
What it costs

Initial Assessment
£80
History, examination, treatment and a written plan. Everyone starts with one of these.
Ongoing care
Follow-Up Treatment
£45 – £80
Priced by appointment length, agreed with you at the time. Most people need fewer than they expect.
In your home
Home Visit
£95
The same appointment in your own home, across Wells, Holt, Blakeney and the wider area.
Radial shockwave therapy +£25 added to any appointment. Used most often for plantar heel pain, Achilles and gluteal tendinopathy. Assessed first — it is not right for everyone, and it works alongside a loading programme rather than instead of one.
Recognised by Aviva, WPA, Simplyhealth, AXA, Vitality and Nuffield Health. Some policies ask for a GP referral before your first appointment, so it is worth checking yours.
Before you book
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a GP referral?
Not to see me — you can book directly. If you are claiming on private insurance, some policies do ask for a referral first, so it is worth checking your policy before you book.
I do not know what is wrong with me. Can I still book?
Yes, and most people are in exactly that position. Working out what is going on is the job of the first appointment. If you would like a sense of it beforehand, the conditions library lets you tap where it hurts and see what tends to cause pain there.
How many appointments will I need?
Fewer than most people expect. Much of the work happens between appointments rather than during them, so a handful of well-spaced sessions is more common than a long block. I will give you an honest estimate after the assessment rather than before it. How treatment is structured.
What should I wear?
Something you can move in, and that allows the area to be examined. Shorts are useful for anything below the waist; a vest or loose top for shoulders and necks.
Will it hurt?
Assessment sometimes reproduces your symptoms, because that is often how we work out what is going on. Nothing happens without you knowing what it is and agreeing to it, and you can stop at any point.
Do you treat children?
Yes. A parent or guardian needs to be present throughout for anyone under sixteen.
What if I need to cancel?
Twenty-four hours notice and there is no charge. Less than that and a fee may apply, simply because a late cancellation is an appointment nobody else could use.
Do you offer online appointments?
Yes. Assessment and diagnosis by video, with a progressive plan through an app. It suits some problems better than others, and it is the right choice when you want expert input quickly without the travel.
